After the bisque is fired at 920°C, each item is individually painted with finely ground pigments (predominantly metallic oxides) and fired to between 1280- 1300C. to fuse the colours on the unglazed surface. Most pieces have gold or platinum applied and are fired again to 800C. His fluent draughtsmanship and balance of design is well illustrated in each example. |
